The Swedish text on the road sign translates to “the public road ends here”. And for me that is where things starts to get exciting!
I’m still not sure if I will write this blog in English or in Swedish, or maybe a bit of both. Time will tell. Swedish will be easier – for sure.
Likewise I’m not sure if I will write and/or how much.
But I’m quite sure that I will write about this:
- Walking, hiking, backpacking, back country skiing etc.
- Gear, ultralight and lightweight
- Trip reports, where I walked/hiked
- Stuff related to the above mentioned
I really want to get to remote far flung places, to ease my fernweh, to get avsides1. What remote really means is relative, but I strive to go there – at least in my dreams and in my mind.
- Swedish word that means:
• outlying [adjective] distant, far from a city etc.
• out-of-the-way [adjective] difficult to reach or arrive at
• secluded [adjective] not able to be seen, talked to etc by other people; far away from other people etc.
• and some that I can’t translate… ↩︎
